About Me
So You're...Viva Meccanica (VEE-va meh-KAHN-nee-ka)! The name means "Long live the mechanical" in Italian, which is a big part of my heritage (Italian American). No I don't know Italian :(.
If the name seems 'anime' it's because I initially was going to use it for Vtubing.
Vtubing?!
Yep! After COVID I wanted to give it a shot and I carefully built a good computer in order to do it. But there was a fatal flaw in my plan: I uh... didn't like video games as much as I thought I did! So I had this really good computer and nothing to do with it! That was the push that got me started on doing VR stuff!
What Do You Do In VR?
A lot of stuff! I'm a VR video maker/influencer type who likes to be on the cutting edge of what's happening. I'm active in the VR fitness space with my friend at Soaring Fitness. I enjoy connecting with world and avatar creators and just generally talking shop about the process as I'm well versed in both blender and unity myself. Beyond all this I also just enjoy vibing and meeting new people. Oh, and I help run a modestly large community of people focused on the model that I main, the Phonodroid!

Nooo I did not, I am merely the most visible person wearing it and the leader of the fan group for it! I've edited the heck out of mine and really raised it up to new heights in my opinion but the original modeler is an artist called Smorbee. I invite you to check out their stuff, I love their vibe and their phonodroid work (of course). If you like the model too please consider joining the group! What Kind Of Company Do You Keep In VR Usually?
Broadly my orbit is populated by three kinds of people: creatives, authentic friends, and cool robots. I'm almost always in SFW Age Verified/Friends+ instances, but I make an effort to stay on green as much as possible and wander out into publics from time to time to find new cool people to say hey to and befriend :3. Don't feel daunted about talking to me if you don't fall into my ""categories"" though, honestly some of the coolest people I've met in this game have also been some of the ones I would have never expected to find. Don't friend me without talking to me for a bit though, there is a bit of a vibe check.
So You're A Furry?
Vaugely. I mean I do wear a furry avatar but I like it more because it's a cool robot with a visible endoskeleton than because it's a cute dog/rabbit/kangaroo/deer thingy, but the fact that it's so cute is not a downside at all. In general I've found the furry spaces in VRchat just more approachable and easier to talk to than other spaces. I have humanoid robot bases too, but I generally just don't wear them much because I'm just so comfortable as the Phonodroid these days. I'm not really a furry in many of the more classical ways you might be thinking of.
Wait, What Species Is Your Phonodroid?
It's intentionally vague. The lore is they were originally based on a dog but have just been adding parts they find aesthetically pleasing over time which has taken their vibe away from any single animal. I've got tons of embarrassing self-lore for my model, which I won't write down here!

That's not a question, I have a Ko-Fi if you really wanna throw money at me, but honestly the world is so hard for so many people right now I just don't feel right about taking money just for being myself and following my asperations.
